This takes me like 7 years down the road when I was in high school.we used to treck from Monday to Friday for like four years a distance of about 15 kilometres. We nick named the trecking as "route 11" because we used our two feet to take us from school to home thus:- 1 foot + 1 foot =11(our two feet) therefore route 11! Got it !!
Transportation in Nairobi has become a big menece.Having qued for like one hour,I got angry and broke off from the que and started walking home.It was drizling and no matatu (transportation) available comming my way.
I walked from Gill house (main bus stop) to Machakos bus terminus (about 1km away) and no sign of our "Matatus" (public transportation). As I was contemplating my next move,I bumped into my neighbour who had actually broke off earlier at the que and was searching tirelessly for company so as to beat the long "route 11" road. Thanks to Ester Pasaris for lighting the jogoo road highway.we walked majestically being rained on but aiming at the finishing line being home sweet home.Within about 25 minuites,we got home tired but thankfull that we didn't que and used our old school recipe of "route 11".
Martin luther king jnr once said, If you cant run, walk,if you cant walk crawl just do about anything but keep moving!!!
Next time you get stuck on the que, remember "route 11" it will save you.
